    A Year in Review: 2015
If today wasn’t a lesson in staying humble, I do If today wasn’t a lesson in staying humble, I don’t know what is. Who decided we should launch a website on a day without preschool for my kids? (psst: it was us 🥴) . Today has been a roller coaster of excitement for work and chaos at home with two little shadows that have screamed “mama! mama!” no less than 968 times and yeeted themselves across rooms INSIDE of a tent.

Which gets me to the point. This lady. She hired me after a phone call to help with her growing business during pandemic times (a time when I was waffling in my own next steps and really missing having other creative brains around after 5 years running solo).

One response to an instagram story, one phone call, and it was kismet. If you know me personally, you know I’m quiet until you get to know me. Meeting @athomeonhawthorne for the first time felt like we had known each other for years. She’s good at all the things I struggle with (like talking in meetings 😂) and all the things I’m also good at (like obsessing to get things pixel perfect). She’s a fellow mom who knows things almost never go to plan and adapts with me and all my late night Slack messages. Basically a unicorn. After trading clients back and forth to make complete brands we finally said, “What if we just did it together for real?” And here we are!

@weareoffhand is us plus a handful (get it?) of some of our favorite people to work with. So grateful for all of them, and every client, friend, and family member that has cheered us on along the way.

Also, a moment for the super fun session we did with @kaitlinmgreen_photo. 💜✨ So nice to have photos that make me feel like a legit grownup.
Oh hi. 👋🏻 ✨ Today we’re announcing somet Oh hi. 👋🏻 ✨ Today we’re announcing something that’s been in the works for a while, @weareoffhand. A collective of truly amazing designers, copywriters, strategists, developers, and more that have organically grown into an absolute dream team with @athomeonhawthorne and myself at the helm. People first. Awesome work (a very close) second. Peep it. 👀
I’ve been dreaming about a Murphy bed in my offi I’ve been dreaming about a Murphy bed in my office / our guest room for years. Having extra space for my family to visit was a huge reason we moved when/where we did but having a bed in the background of all my meetings… not so much. Yesterday, a local small business installed my dream custom setup (and killed it!). Thank you, Noble James Woodworking! Big fan.
Hi. Popping in for my third post of 2023 and I’m Hi. Popping in for my third post of 2023 and I’m realizing how differently I view this app than I once did. I’m still here, following people I love or am inspired by (or both). But as my kids get older and my priorities shift and my life is a whirlwind of runny noses and belly laughs between client meetings and design concepts and making time for real human connection and also maybe a minute alone to reflect, I just don’t feel like I need to keep up with these fussy little squares.

But this last weekend was a reminder that sometimes… just sometimes those little snippets you share can shift your whole world. We spent the weekend in Portland with @greentie.studio / @athomeonhawthorne who I didn’t even know personally three years ago but reached out to because of an instagram story she posted. The last four days we watched as our children played together and our husbands made terribly wonderful dad jokes while we planed our next adventure in business together. My little fam reveled in ACTUAL fall colors and the magic of pine trees and talked big dreams of the future and I just feel rejuvenated and inspired and it’s wild to think that experiences like this one can come from a little blue follow button. I don’t know where I’m going with this but I guess it’s just to say hi. 👋🏻 Still here. Still working. Still dreaming.
Slow to respond to emails (and texts tbh) this wee Slow to respond to emails (and texts tbh) this week because I’m soaking this in with my littles and the rest of the fam. 🌞
A slightly slower work year because of maternity l A slightly slower work year because of maternity leave (and now two mobile kids 😅) but here’s a little snippet of some of 2022’s brand packages! More over with my pals at @greentie.studio and some still under wraps. Grateful to still be working with @offleashcom @ensemblexdstudio and @watertowertheatre after all these years. 😘 Excited to bring in 2023 with lots of brands on the books, a new theatre season shoot, and a couple event suites! Hope you are all staying cozy and recharging your creative batteries a bit. 💖
