Design Process

How It Works

I take pride in investing a part of my heart into every project I take on. Sometimes this means I need to adjust my process to match what makes sense for our project! That said, I’m no stranger to brand creation, and there’s always a method to the madness.

  • 1
    Proposal & Agreement

That sounds like we’re getting married, doesn’t it? I mean, you are really nice, but let’s stick to rockin’ an awesome project. If it seems like we’d be a great fit to work together, I’ll send over a proposal with project details, timelines, defined deliverables, and payment details. You know, the nitty gritty stuff.

  • 2
    Brand Strategy & Discovery

The fun begins! Before we get started, I'll send you a detailed brand questionnaire that gets to the heart of your brand. Before our project kickoff, we’ll hop on a call to chat about your answers – talking about goals, your target market, and your sense of style. From there, I’ll go back and do all the research. I research your aspirational brands, your competitors, and everything in between. I then build an in-depth brand strategy that will guide the rest of our work together, including a moodboard that begins to curate an overall style for our future work. This acts as our first building block in creating your brand!

  • 3
    Design

With an approved strategy and visual plan in place, I’ll begin crafting your custom designs. I offer a one logo solution, meaning your first look at this work will include a full buildout of your logo, secondary logo, submarks, and brand patterns along with real-world examples of how these come to life. I send my rationale along every step of the way, and I never send work that I’m not proud to stand behind. We'll then move into revision mode, where no conversation is off limits.

  • 4
    Refinement

I want to make sure our work together is going to help you reach your business goals and speak to our target audience. I offer three rounds of revisions on every deliverable in our project. Typically these include things like exploring color and font options and doing fine tuning on the details. In the rare occasion that additional rounds of revisions are needed, they’re available at $125/hour.

  • 5
    File Delivery

After we complete your project, I’ll package up all your fancy new files in an organized, easy to download Dropbox folder. Deliverables typically include your logo package, brand strategy and guidelines documents, and any collateral we’ve agreed to depending on the brand package you've chosen. After downloading these, you’ll be officially ready to go!

I'll ensure you know exactly how to use these files, and I'm always here to answer any questions you have along the way. Just because our work is done doesn't mean our relationship needs to end.

  • 6
    Dance Party

I’m dancing, are you dancing? You should be, because by this point you officially have a gorgeous new brand to launch into the world! Congratulations are in order!

FAQ

I told myself I'd never be a faq kind of person, but here we are!

I get a lot of emails with really great questions, but in an effort to be a wizard and read your mind before you send that email, here are a few common ones.
