Effwords
A game of effed up words.
EFFWORDS is a party game of fake words and wacky definitions. Each round, one player uses letter tiles to create a fake word, and the other players anonymously submit their funniest definition cards to define the word. The player who submitted the best definition earns a point. To put it super simply, it’s basically Cards Against Humanity meets Bananagrams.
Game designer, Justin Berman, contacted me needing the game branded, designed, and packaged. His goal was to brand and design the game, then get funded on Kickstarter to get it manufactured. Unfortunately the project didn’t get funded, but it was a blast to work on this quirky game with him. We ended up with a design that felt friendly but is obviously for adults.
